Who am I?

 

That’s me … Bella, an Entlebucher Mountain Dog. Born on 30th March 2012, the first born pup of the first ever ‘B’ litter born here, in the UK.  My mum Queenie had already had one litter. She does produce good pups and you can sniff out my big brother Alfie (that’s Alfie with an ‘A’) here …

A lot of people ask about my breed, as we’re not that well known in the UK, but some humans have been working hard to get us known more. In fact, that’s how my human found me. She was looking for the right breed and went to a show called Discover Dogs. She found out all about us there. I think it was love at first sight for her.

She took a picture home and showed the man human. He thought we would be a perfect match too, so they contacted the club and arranged to meet up with a local Entlebucher. This is where they met Alfie, my big bro, for the first time. He showed them his best side and as far as they were concerned, it was a done deal.  (My brother was helping me out before he even knew it!)

So they joined a list and waited for a long time until I came along.  I have to say, as far as humans go, they’re pretty cool. We get along just fine and it’s an honour to be able to train them to Entlebucher standards.
