Growling Up

I’ve had another big weekend this weekend. My humans are really mean!

First, they put me in prison … I tried my best to give them the puppy dog eyes but it didn’t work. Image

AND … do you know what was even worse. We had another dog, Rosie, in the house ALL WEEKEND. It was ok at first, but she told me to mind my manners a lot yesterday. I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to share food with other dogs – no one told me! When I was really little me and my brothers and sisters used to eat anything and anyone’s food, but my human explained that I have to wait until Rosie’s finished, because it’s good manners when you’re the little one. I also got told that I was too playful and I needed to calm down. I got told this by brute force quite frankly. I was sneaking up on her, just about to catch her wagger when she turned really quickly, let out a big growl that made me scream (it was really really fast!) and then pinned me to the floor so I couldn’t get up! My human got involved then and showed us how to play properly together. Rosie said it was much better becuase she doesn’t like her ears and face being nipped. (why? It’s great fun!!)

And guess what? I’m only 12 weeks old but I’m the strongest because I won the toy EVERY time! I think Rosie was a bit scared to play properly. She said I was really little and she didn’t want to hurt me.

We’ve had a great time together, after all that playing we just had to have a snooze on the sofa!

OOH, one more thing …

Alfie’s Initiation – Part 1

I promised my big brother Alfie that I would keep him up to date with the initiation and what I’ve been doing. I have to do at least 1 fun thing every weekend.

I went for an easy one this weekend. He said it’s really important that the humans know that all of the things in the house now belong to me. The best way to do this is to steal something of theirs, something they need, like dog walking shoes and put it in your bed.

This one’s for you bro! I took it and it’s mine now.Image

There’s one more thing I have to tell you about. I’m 12 weeks now. My human says that means that I am getting too big for my boots (good job I’ve got her old trainers then). She said this means I’m big enough for school and that she’s going to take me to my first class tonight. I’m a bit scared, but I’m going to rest a lot today so I can be ready later on.

I need the advice of all the pups out there … what should I do? Show them how clever and brave I am at the classes, or should I pretend I don’t understand anything ?

  1. Roooo – you’ve claimed your first shoe, I’m so proud of you little Sis! *waggy tail* And the bed is a perfect place for hiding your booty – you can sniff the stuff all night long and remember your mischief! *waggy tail*

Don’t worry about Puppy School – you’re gonna be the cutest pup in class and everyone will be too interested in your breed to notice anything about your behaviour the first time round. That’s when you sneak out, read the teacher’s manual and memorize all of it. Then you can pretend you’re a genius the rest of the lessons!

    • Thanks Alfie … I’m working on Part 2 already, the human tried to take the shoe back this morning. I only let her so that we could go out for a walk. I’ll get it back later 🙂
Thanks for the tip … I’m good at sneaking around … I’ll remember that! WOOF!

  2. You are so cute, looks like you had fun with your friend. Puppy school is awesome too and Im sure you will be one of the smartest there.

    • I already know all of the tricks … I’m just going for the fun of it … and to let all the other pups in the neighbourhood know that I’ll be the boss when we’re all grown up. WOOF!

  3. How can they not fall for the puppy dog eyes? Starting puppy school is a very good idea I’m sure you’ll love it. Plus you’ll probably get to see lots of other adorable puppies around your age.

    Happy Monday!
    Colby

    • Hi Colby,
Puppy school was fun. You’re right, there were a lot of puppies my age. They were cute, but not as cute as me. WOOF!

  4. See, we rabbits have got a really good mischief as well. Just remember, if you can’t get shoes, try nibbling their cables. You will get a LOT of attention and praise from them! At least that’s what it always sounds like to me 😀

    • Cables !! My humans used to have their rabbits living in the house … they chewed all of the important stuff, so they learnt their lesson then … I’m afraid there’s not a cable in sight. I’ll try a chair leg instead 🙂

  5. Hi Bella! I thought it was about time that I jump on that blogging waggon and started my own to tell the world about my mischief. It would be carrotcool if I could add you to my links 🙂

    Thank you charming girl!

Oh, my blog is here http://tinosbunnyblog.wordpress.com/

    • Of course! I’m hoppy that you are joining in the fun! Rabbits and Entlebuchers get along just fine 🙂 I’ll come and sniff you up. WOOF

  6. Be brave and clever and get the most out of your classes. You will get lots of treats that way and remember to cheer on the others. Everyone will think that is cute!

  7. Now that is a good idea … I did try making a lot of noise but I got told I was too loud. I’ll try again next time and see if they understand me this time! 🙂
